Ha Long City

Ha Long City lies on Ha Long Bay, which is the most popular tourist attraction in northern Vietnam due to the thousands of spectacular limestone islands and islets that can be found at this UNESCO Natural Heritage site. Ha Long City offers a quiet living environment, as most tourists don’t venture into the city proper due to their itineraries being focused on the bay itself.

Ha Long is located 3 hours by bus from Ha Noi and around an hour from the neighbouring city Hai Phong.

Nightlife in Ha Long is a mix of vibrant bars, cafes and restaurants – with seafood being a speciality. For the more adventurous, there is also a casino and, if you have visitors, the option is always there for a night cruising the bay as it is right on your doorstep!

Accommodation in Ha Long is in the range of 5,500,000 – 9,000,000 VND per month depending on location, facilities etc. Teachers who work in Ha Long will receive a Housing Allowance of 5,000,000 VND* per month and an additional 43,000 VND per hour.
