Bien Hoa is 45 minutes away from Ho Chi Minh City by car or bus and 2 hours to the coastal town of Vung Tau. It’s an industrial city, smaller than neighbouring Binh Duong, and one of the crop of rapidly developing modern cities that are springing up all over the country.
Bien Hoa offers residents a range of activities. There are many Ecotourism sites where you can experience natural habitats, including the popular Nam Cat Tien National Park and its breathtaking rainforest and tranquil atmosphere. Visiting Cat Tien during ‘butterfly season’ is a great experience and it is truly magical being surrounded by thousands of butterflies as you walk through the forest.
Accommodation in Bien Hoa is in the range of 5,500,000 – 9,000,000 VND per month depending on location, facilities etc. Teachers who work in Bien Hoa will receive a Housing Allowance of 5,000,000 VND* per month and an additional 43,000 VND per hour.
